The festival, which started from October 25 at Astro Village located in Takula village near Nainital city, will continue till October 27. For this, people have come from every corner of the country including Uttarakhand. During this, after various activities throughout the day, people are being made to see the starry sky at night and are being given information about the secrets of the universe including star gazing. This is the first such festival in the field of Astro Tourism to be organized in Nainital.
Nainital District Tourism Officer Atul Bhandari while talking to Local 18 said that the Tourism Department has cooperated in organizing the Nakshatra Mahotsav. Such programs are promoting astro tourism and also attracting tourists. Astro Village is being constructed in Takula village. Nakshatra Mahotsav has been organized at Gandhi Temple adjacent to Astro Village.
Enjoy Star Gazing in Baldiyakhan
Rahul, co-founder of Astroverse Private Limited company, told Local 18 that Astroverse Private Limited is a startup company, which is working on Astro Tourism. Astro stops have been made at various places by his company, where people are introduced to the mysteries of the universe. Along with this, their first observatory has also been established in Baldiyakhan near Nainital, where you can enjoy star gazing amidst the mountains. Along with this, you can see all types of celestial bodies including Galaxy, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn with your eyes. For this, good quality telescopes have been installed here. He told that hydro rockets are being made and launched during the three-day Nakshatra Mahotsav. Along with this, information about the universe is being given along with various activities like Rover Race, Bird Watching, Trekking, Bone Fire, Jamming etc. and Night Sky Observation is being conducted. The aim of his program is to give people information about the universe in a simple way.
