New Delhi. While on one hand the sales of affordable cars and SUVs increased during the festive season, on the other hand people also bought a lot of luxury cars. According to sources, it is estimated that more than 1,000 units of luxury cars will be sold between Dhanteras (29 October) and Bhai Dooj (3 November). Car manufacturers and market experts have claimed to have sold luxury vehicles worth more than Rs 1000 crore during this period.
According to experts, due to huge demand and booking, more than 1000 cars will be delivered, whose average price will be Rs 1 crore. The total price of these cars will be approximately above Rs 1000 crore.
The market for high-end luxury cars is also hot
Many manufacturers including Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Porsche, Land Rover and Lamborghini are selling luxury cars in India. The price of these cars ranges between Rs 45 lakh to Rs 2.5 crore. Whereas, if we talk about annual sales, approximately 47,000 units of luxury cars are sold in the country in a year.
There is also a segment of high-end luxury cars in India which includes cars from companies like Aston Martin, Bentley, Rolls Royce and Land Rover, whose price is Rs 5 crore or more. However, data on sales of high-end luxury cars is not available.
Good sales during Dhanteras
According to sources, this year the sales of luxury cars were the best in Dhanteras. This year, BMW, Audi and Mercedes aggressively launched new cars in the market which were liked by the customers. At the same time, companies also made significant improvements in their sales and service networks, due to which new customers had better contact with the company. Compared to last Dhanteras, this year a growth of 10% was recorded in the sales of luxury cars.
