Almora: 36 people lost their lives in a terrible road accident on Monday morning in Marchula of Salt development block of Almora district of Uttarakhand. This accident happened when most of the passengers were returning to their cities after celebrating the festival of Diwali. Since the holidays were over, there were 63 passengers in the 43-seater bus, and no one had any idea that a major accident was going to happen at the turning point.
Mental stress became an important cause of bus accidents.
A shocking update has come to light in this accident. Bus driver Dinesh Singh, resident of Bhairangkhal, Sult, was mentally disturbed for the last several days. Injured passenger Harish Chandra Pokhriyal told that the driver had told him that he had to give Rs 2.5 lakh to someone, due to which he was under mental stress. Harish told that he was sitting on the seat next to the driver and was worried seeing the driver’s behaviour. The passengers tried to console him and give him courage, but unfortunately the bus fell into a 100 meter deep gorge as soon as it reached Marchula.

In this accident, 36 people lost their lives and 27 others were injured, who are undergoing treatment in various hospitals. This accident is a big shock not only for the passengers but also for their families.
Experts’ opinion on mental health
Speaking to Local 18, Ayushi Jangpangi, psychiatrist at the Medical College, Almora, said that a person going through mental stress may have problems like lack of sleep, hearing voices repeatedly and thinking about the same thing again and again. He suggested that such people should take out time to talk to their family and friends, so that they can come out of mental stress.
