Amidst the US presidential election voting and results, the Sensex is trading at the level of 80,300 today i.e. on November 6 with a rise of more than 800 points. Nifty also has a gain of 250 points, it is trading at the level of 24,460.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 24 are rising and 6 are declining. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 39 are rising and 11 are declining. The IT sector of NSE has the highest increase of 3.39%.
Asian markets also on the rise
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei is up 2.25%. Whereas Korea’s Kospi is trading with a rise of 0.013% and China’s Shanghai Composite is trading with a rise of 0.29%.
- On November 5, the US Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 1.02% to 42,221 and the S&P 500 closed 1.23% to 5,782. The Nasdaq rose 1.43% to 18,439.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,569.41 crore on November 5. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 3,030.96 crore.

Yesterday the market had recovered 1,180 points from the day’s low. Earlier yesterday i.e. on November 5, the Sensex had recovered 1,180 points from the day’s low of 78,296. After the day’s trading, it closed at 79,476 with a gain of 694 points.
Nifty also recovered 371 points from the day’s low of 23,842. It closed at the level of 24,213 with a gain of 217 points. Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 21 were up and 9 were down. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 39 were up and 11 were down. The metal sector of NSE had the highest rise of 2.84%.
