Hearing on the problem of jam at Kamta Tiraha was held in the Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Wednesday. LDA’s lawyer asked for two weeks’ time from the court to deal with the problem of jam. Giving two weeks time, the court postponed the next hearing in the case to November 20.

This order was given by the division bench of Justice AR Masoodi and Justice Subhash Vidyarthi after hearing a PIL filed in 2017 by the Awadh Bar Association. During the hearing on the PIL, the lawyer present on behalf of LDA said that a team has been formed which is conducting a survey and finding a solution to remove the jam at Kamta intersection.
The team will soon find a way to resolve the problem of traffic jam. An affidavit is ready regarding construction of flyover from Polytechnic to Indira Canal, which will be filed in two days. In this case, the court had said that if an over bridge is built on Ayadhya Road from Polytechnic to Indira Canal, then there will be a lot of relief from the problem of jam in this area.
