Many big companies had contacted
Dozens of renowned companies of the country and the state had submitted tenders for this. Photon Company of Pune was awarded the tender for quoting the highest rate. The contract with the company has been for ten years. LDA has provided about 1200-1500 square meters of land to the company for setting up the charging station.
LDA will get Rs 4.05 per unit
In return, the company will pay a fee of Rs 4.05 per unit to the authority. The operator has installed AC-type EV chargers for 4-wheelers and AC/DC-type chargers for 2-wheelers. Space for charging buses will also be included at the stations. Charging of e-rickshaws will also be allowed at these stations. The operator will also provide battery swapping facility in future.
Rules were made in the year 2022
Earlier, Uttar Pradesh had released the ‘Electric Vehicle Manufacturing and Mobility Policy 2022’. The official said that the cost of setting up one station is around Rs 30 to 35 lakh. A ten-year contract has been signed for unit charge.
