New Delhi. Triumph launched its new Speed 400 motorcycle in India on Tuesday, which is priced at Rs 2.4 lakh, ex-showroom. This new model is about Rs 15 thousand more expensive than the previous variant.
Some minor changes have been made in this bike to improve its riding experience. Now Speed 400 is available in four colors which include Racing Yellow, Phantom Black, Pearl Metallic White and Racing Red.
Thick foam has been added to the seat of the bike to make long distance travel more comfortable. Additionally, it is fitted with high-profile radial tires from Vredestein, and the brake and clutch levers are adjustable. Booking of this new Speed 400 has started and its delivery is going to start in a few weeks.
The new Triumph Speed 400 has a 399cc liquid-cooled engine, which generates power of 39.5 bhp and torque of 39Nm. This engine comes with 6-speed gearbox. The bike has features like ride-by-wire throttle, full-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and semi-digital instrument cluster.
This bike is the first product launched in partnership between Bajaj and Triumph. This is also the company’s entry-level motorcycle at the global level. The same 398cc engine is used in the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 The company has also provided genuine Triumph accessories for these bikes.
