New Delhi. Most of the people who ride a bike daily make some mistakes while starting the bike in the morning, which affects the engine and other parts of their vehicle. These small mistakes can not only reduce the performance of the bike but can also reduce the mileage.
If you want your bike’s engine to run well for a long time, then it is important to avoid these mistakes. Let us know which 3 big mistakes made while starting the bike in the morning can have a bad effect on the engine.
1. Start the bike as soon as you start it
Often people start riding the bike immediately as soon as they start it, which is not good for the engine. When the bike is parked overnight, the engine oil settles down and the engine parts lack lubrication. If you start riding the bike as soon as you start it, the engine parts may wear out due to less lubrication. In such a situation, a BS-6 bike should be left in idle mode for 10 seconds after starting it, whereas for a BS-4 bike it is better to give 15-20 seconds.
2. Giving more race as soon as you start
There is a lack of lubrication in a bike parked for a long time, and if the bike is raced too much immediately after starting, the engine parts can wear out. This increases oil consumption and reduces mileage. Keep in mind that when starting after a long time, the bike should not be raced too much. Give only enough racing so that the bike doesn’t stall, or let the engine warm up without racing.
3. Driving the bike at high speed after starting
Running the bike at high RPM immediately after starting it is not good for the engine. When starting the bike in the morning or after a long time, its speed should be limited to 25-30 km/hour for some time. By doing this, the parts inside the engine get well lubricated and the risk of wear is reduced. After 15-20 seconds the speed can be increased gradually.
With these small bike care habits, you can increase the life of its engine and enjoy its best performance for a long time.
