Who can apply
For UPPSC PCS exam, it is necessary for the candidate to be a graduate. Any graduate pass candidate can apply for these posts, and the age limit has also been fixed for this. Any candidate whose age is between 21 to 40 years can apply for these posts, however, ST, SC and OBC category candidates are given age relaxation as per the rules of reservation.

Candidates applying for UPPSC PCS exam also have to pay application fees. General category candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 125, whereas for ST and SC category candidates this fee is fixed at Rs 65.

Candidates selected in PCS exam also get a good salary and other facilities. Under PCS (United States/Senior Subordinate Services) they get junior scale pay band 9300-34800. After this their salary becomes as per Senior Time Scale Pay Band 15600-39100. Similarly, their minimum basic salary is Rs 56,000 and maximum salary is Rs 1,32,000 per month. Apart from this, they also get facilities like accommodation and vehicle etc.
