Late Saturday evening, the oil in the pan suddenly caught fire while cooking in Arjun Nagar locality of Kotwali Dehat area of Hapur. The woman who was cooking got scared and raised an alarm and called out to her husband. In a hurry to extinguish the fire, the husband threw the pan out of the house.

Oil pan spills on girl The oil from the frying pan thrown out of the house fell on a six-year-old girl playing in the neighbourhood. The girl got badly burnt when oil fell on her feet. After the accident, there was chaos in the locality and the girl was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. After the incident there was a dispute between the two parties. A crowd of people gathered in the locality and the atmosphere became tense. On information, police reached the spot and tried to control the situation.
Police is investigating the matter CO Jitendra Sharma said that the incident is being investigated. Initial investigation appears to be a case of oil catching fire while cooking. Police have registered complaints from both the parties and further action will be taken. The burnt girl was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors are monitoring her condition. Doctors said that the girl’s condition is stable, but due to burns, she will have to stay in the hospital for a few days.
