At the 73rd Miss Universe competition held in Mexico, Denmark’s Victoria Kjaer Theilvig emerged as the winner of the prestigious crown. The 21-year-old competed against 125 contestants from across the globe, including India’s Rhea Singha. Nigeria’s Chidimma Adetshina emerged as the first runner-up up and Mexico’s Maria Fernanda Beltran took the second runner-up position.
Who Is Victoria Kjaer Theilvig?
Born in 2004 in Søborg, Gribskov, in Denmark’s Capital Region, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig grew up in Copenhagen. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing. She used her degree to foray into entrepreneurship. Apart from being an entrepreneur, she is also a professional dancer. She regularly uses her voice to advocate for mental health support and animal rights causes. She is currently aiming to become a lawyer.
How Did Victoria Kjaer Theilvig Enter The Pageant World?
Victoria Kjaer Theilvig was previously crowned as Miss Denmark. She gained global recognition in 2022 when she was placed in the Top 20 of Miss Grand International. She has also been called ‘Human Barbie’ for her resemblance to the beloved doll. She was, later, crowned Miss Universe Denmark 2024 in September of this year.
What Did Victoria Kjaer Theilvig Wear For The Finale?
Theilvig exuded grace in a shimmering pink gown. She styled her silver-blonde hair in loose curls and let them fall gracefully on her shoulders. For the makeup, she opted for a subtle shimmering eyeshadow and smudged eyeliner. She coated her eyelashes with mascara. She opted for glossy pink lips and a rosy blush which gave her face a youthful glow.
What Was Victoria Kjaer Theilvig’s Winning Answer?
At the final round, she was asked to state the most essential quality a Miss Universe should possess. Theilvig said, “A Miss Universe must be a symbol of empathy and action. She must listen to the world’s challenges and use her platform to create tangible change. This means advocating for the voiceless, whether they are animals or people who need a champion.”
Her answer was met with resounding cheers and claps. She received the crown from Miss Universe 2023 Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua. After wearing the crown, she was seen getting visibly emotional on the stage.
