Samarth Jurel admitted to being ‘shocked’ after reading the script of the show Buddh Dev for the first time.
Following an impressive stint in Bigg Boss 17, Samarth Jurel is set to return with his new project, leaving his fans thrilled. The actor will be seen portraying Yuvraj Budh in a mythological show, Buddh Dev. The upcoming series will be streaming on OTT platform Hari OM. The Udaariyan fame actor recently sat down for an interview, shedding light on the challenges he faced portraying the mythological character. Samarth even admitted to being ‘shocked’ after reading the script of the show for the first time.
During an interaction with Pinkvilla, Samarth Jurel said, “When I read the script, I was shocked, it was in pure Sanskrit. Normally, scripts are in Hindi or Roman, and you can understand them easily. So, I told the production house that the script was in proper Sanskrit and asked if they could give it to me in Roman. They said the director would provide it, but it wouldn’t be as fun.”
Reflecting on the preparations that he made for the mythological show, Samarth Jurel mentioned, “I took 15 days to work on it, and only one episode came out during that time. I thought to myself, ‘How will this happen?’ I wasn’t sure how to manage it. But I decided to stick with it, and understand the story, and then everything clicked.”
Samarth Jurel would read the script until 4 am to perform the same in the morning, as he revealed in the interaction. The actor even highlighted the reason behind taking up the project, explaining that he enjoys pushing himself and portraying versatile roles. The former Bigg Boss star further shared intriguing details about his character in the show. Elaborating on the same, he noted, “Buddhadev refers to the planet Mercury,” adding that the upcoming show will focus on his life and parents—Brihaspati Dev and Chandra Dev.
Speaking of the show, Buddh Dev will include 22 episodes, delving into his journey to gain knowledge and will reflect the importance of the planet in maintaining the stability of the solar system.
Reports suggest that Samarth Jurel is also busy shooting for his first Bollywood project besides his mythological show. During its shoot, the actor was reportedly hospitalised after suffering an injury while performing a high-intensity action scene himself instead of opting for a body double.
