Haldwani. Preparations for the 38th National Games (National Games 2025) are going on in full swing in Uttarakhand. The exercise to provide special training to the players has started. For this, training is being given to boxers and athletics in a center built at high altitude. Men boxers of the state and women boxers of the state are being trained in the snowy mountains of Munsiyari. In the cold of Nainital, sailing players will hone their skills. A total of 520 players are going to participate in the 13 camps to be organized in Kumaon. 1360 players will participate in special training camps for 34 sports included in the National Games. Camp sites for training of players have been finalized, out of which 13 sports camps have been set up in 6 cities of Kumaon. 20 men and 20 women have been included in all the camps.
Sports Director Prashant Arya said that the Sports Department is organizing a special camp for the players of the state for the National Games. All important facilities including accommodation and food will be provided to the players in the camp by the Sports Department. In collaboration with the sports association, every facility will be made available to provide better training to the players. The players of the state are being prepared in a better way.
Games Technical Committee reached Haldwani and Rudrapur
The 10-member Games Technical Conduct Committee (GTCC) appointed under the chairmanship of Sunaina Kumari from the Indian Olympic Association for the 38th National Games will inspect the games and their venues in Haldwani and Rudrapur on Sunday, November 24. After which the final decision will be taken on the venue and number of games. Let us tell you that about 38 sports are proposed in the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand from 28 January 2025 to 14 February 2025. This team has reached Uttarakhand to check the venue and preparations. On Sunday, GTCC will inspect Haldwani, the second main venue of the state.
