Haridwar. A surprising case related to a government school has come to light in Haridwar, Uttarakhand. There is an allegation of misbehavior with girl students in Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School located in Rani Majra village of Bahadarabad development block. In a viral video, girl students were seen cleaning raw chicken in the school. Apart from this, they were forced to cook food in school, wash utensils and drink leftover milk in the same utensils. Such incidents are raising serious questions on the education environment in schools.
When this video went viral, investigation revealed that this video was from Kasturba Gandhi Residential School only. When the girl students were discussed on this, they also confirmed that in the school they are made to do work like cleaning and cooking. They are even forced to drink leftover milk from empty containers. This can also have a deep impact on the health and mental condition of girl students. In this matter, school warden Tannu Chauhan clarified that the chicken was not cooked in the school but was brought from outside only to be heated. She said that she had taken permission from the Block Education Officer to feed chicken, but in the viral video, girl students can be seen cleaning raw chicken, which makes it clear what the reality is.
Deep anger among parents
There is deep anger among the local people and parents of the girl students regarding this matter. He says that such treatment of girl students in school is playing with their future. Parents and local people have accused the warden and other teachers of complicity in this matter and demanded strict action. This incident has raised serious questions on the quality of education and functioning of administration in government schools. The department is saying that it is investigating the matter.
