Earlier the admitted patients had to pay Rs 144, now they will have to pay only Rs 50. A slip of Rs 57 had to be issued for bed charge, which has now been reduced to Rs 25. The charge for patients admitted in private wards has been reduced from Rs 400 to Rs 300.
PMS doctor of Almora District Hospital, HC Gadhkoti, while talking to Local 18, said that the state government and the health department are continuously working to provide relief to the patients. Many charges including OPD forms have been reduced in the district hospital. The admission fee for patients admitted to the hospital has been reduced. Private ward fees have also been reduced. Apart from this, ambulance charges have also been reduced, due to which there will be no burden on the pockets of patients and attendants.

Almora resident Abhay Sah told Local 18 that the public will benefit from the reduction in all fees in the district hospital.
