Roorkee. The incident of firing at a wedding ceremony in Roorkee, Haridwar district of Uttarakhand on Saturday night turned happiness into mourning. The incident took place in Lalchandwala village of Khanpur police station area, where a family member allegedly opened fire to celebrate the marriage. During this time, a 9-year-old boy standing nearby, Ryan, who was Wasim’s son, was seriously injured by the bullet. The injured Ryan was immediately taken to a nearby hospital but by then it was too late. Doctors declared him dead. This painful news turned the atmosphere of the wedding into mourning.
On Saturday, the family members, who were participating in the celebrations till some time ago, are now immersed in deep mourning. Ryan’s sudden death created an uproar in the house and everyone who came to the function was shocked. As soon as information about this incident was received, the police of Khanpur police station immediately reached the spot and inspected the incident. The police conducted Panchnama of Ryan’s body and sent it to Roorkee Hospital for post-mortem so that the real cause of death could be known. Police station in-charge Upendra Singh said that initial investigation has revealed that Ryan died due to bullet injury. He also told that the police is investigating the matter in depth. In this investigation, it is being found out who did the firing and why.
Grief in the village due to Ryan’s death
