An unknown thief stole a bag containing Rs 50,000 belonging to a retired Chief Food Inspector, father of Naib Tehsildar posted in Kanpur Dehat, from the Punjab National Bank premises located at Tuvan intersection of Lalitpur Kotwali Sadar area.

Shocked to see the bag missing
Retired Chief Food Inspector Tejraj Verma, resident of Mohalla Chandmari of Kotwali Sadar area, had gone to Punjab National Bank located at Tuvan intersection to withdraw money on Wednesday around 3.30 pm. When he withdrew Rs 50,000 from the bank and was exhausted, he sat at the branch in the bank premises itself. Kept a bag full of Rs 50 thousand nearby. After some time he looked and found a bag containing Rs 50,000 missing. They were shocked to see the bag missing. An unknown thief stole a bag containing Rs 50 thousand. The incident of bag theft created a stir. The victim informed the bank manager about this. Apart from this, he reached the police station and the police was informed. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and investigated.
CCTV installed inside the bank was checked
During this time, the CCTV installed inside the bank was also checked, in which some youths were seen suspicious. A young man has been captured in CCTV carrying a bag.
