Dehradun. The video of the dispute over tying of turban in Paltan Bazaar, the busiest place in Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, is going viral on social media. In the video, an altercation and scuffle can be clearly seen between the shopkeeper and the youth. Three businessmen were injured in this dispute, after which the matter gained momentum. According to the information received, a dispute started between some youth and a shopkeeper regarding the rate of tying a turban. The youth alleged that the shopkeeper demanded more than the fixed rate, which escalated the dispute.
The matter became so heated that a scuffle broke out between the two parties. The CCTV camera installed near the spot captured the entire incident, the video of which is now going viral. According to the information, after the altercation the youth suddenly left the spot and came back with some other youth. During this, he picked up some goods from a nearby shop and attacked the shopkeeper.
Shopkeepers surrounded the police station
Angered by the incident of fighting, the traders reached the police station and laid siege to it and demanded strict action against the accused. Dehradun SSP Ajay Singh said that the police has registered a case against the youth. The swords that came to light in the incident were actually toy swords taken from a nearby shop.
Case registered against 9 people
Police reached the spot and pacified the dispute and have now started investigating the matter. The SSP has assured that strict action will be taken against the culprits. After the video of the incident went viral, this matter has become a topic of discussion in the entire city. Local people are condemning this incident and demanding strengthening of security arrangements in the market. So far two people have been arrested in this case, while a case has been registered against 9 people. According to SSP Ajay Singh, other accused will also be arrested soon.
