Nainital: Nainital Municipality Administration is going to issue licenses for those setting up small roadside shops. Under which licenses will be given to small shopkeepers. Due to which businessmen can easily make profits. At the same time, valid licenses are to be given to 121 food businessmen already identified in the city. For which the verification process of shopkeepers has started these days. Only after verification, licenses will be issued to the Fad operators who come under the purview of the rules.
Nainital Municipality’s EO Vinod Jeena, during a special conversation with Local 18, said that commercial activities are increasing in Pant Park. Due to which people are facing difficulties in walking on the footpath. Licenses are being given by the municipality to set up shops on the footpath. So that only the registered Phad operator can perform the Phad.
Who will get the license?
The municipality has made strict rules for setting up shops on the footpath. According to these rules, only one member from a family will be given license to operate Phad. Apart from this, licenses will not be given to people working in government or private sector and those involved in criminal cases. There will be a complete ban on selling electronic goods in Pant Park area. Because the sale of such goods can pose a threat to the environment and the safety of tourists. The municipality has constituted a special team for this, which is thoroughly examining the documents.
These things will be checked during verification
EO Vinod Jeena said that the municipality has planned to shift all the food operators from Pant Park and create a new vendor zone in the Lakdi Tal area behind the mosque. After verification of fake traders, legitimate traders will be shifted to this new location. At present 121 food traders have been identified in Pant Park. They are being verified. Soon after completion of verification, licenses will be issued to legitimate businessmen. During the verification campaign, the licenses, criminal records and other necessary documents of the traders will be checked.
