After getting the license, you can catch fish from Bhimtal Lake.
Dr. Vishal Dutta, District Fisheries Incharge of Fisheries Department, Bhimtal, told during a special conversation with Local 18 that people who are fond of hunting can take fishing license from the Fisheries Department. For this, people can come to the department and get their license done by showing Aadhar card. For this they will have to pay only Rs 30. These are the rules of fishing
Dr. Dutta explains that after getting the license, people have to follow some rules for fishing. In which only 4 fish can be caught in a day. The weight of the fish caught should be 400 grams or more. If the weight of the fish is less than 400 grams then it will have to be released back into the lake.
What is the logic of the department?
Any person can take a license for fishing from Bhimtal Lake. Doctor Dutta tells that every year his department gets breeding of Mahaseer done. About 2.5 lakh to 5 lakh Mahasheer seeds are released in Bhimtal Lake. He told that only a limited number of fish can be caught with a hook.
