Almora. A night shelter has been built near the SSP office in Almora, Uttarakhand. A large number of people come and stay in this night shelter of the municipality. Keeping in view the winters, the facility of heater and geyser is also provided here. Not only this, good facility of clean quilts and mattresses for sleeping is also available here. Many people coming to Almora like to stay in this night shelter because here they get accommodation at low cost.
Jagmohan Rawat, who came from Pauri Garhwal, told Local 18 that he has been staying in this night shelter for the last three days and he was very happy to see the facilities here. Heaters and geysers have been arranged here. He believes that every municipality and corporation should have a facility like Almora so that people can get such facilities at very low cost.
Good facilities for tourists and devotees
Deepak Maurya, who came from Varanasi, told Local 18 that he had come to visit Almora. When he reached Almora, he came to know about this night shelter. After which he came here to stay. He was very pleased to see the facilities here. He said that generally he has been to many night shelters, but at other places one sees chaos, but very good arrangements have been made here. Clean quilts and mattresses have been provided for sleeping with cleanliness. In view of the cold, the facility of heater and geyser is also being provided here. This is a very good facility for all the tourists or devotees who come here.
Sagar Rawat came from Dwarahat for Khel Mahakumbh
Sagar Rawat, a student and player from Dwarahat, said that he has come for the Khel Mahakumbh. Very good facilities are being provided in this night shelter, which includes clean bedding, Aquaguard has been installed for water and geyser facility is being provided for hot water. Many other players have also stayed here along with him. Night shelter employee Prem Pushkar said that many people come and stay here every day. When there is any recruitment or any other work in Almora, the number of people increases here. Here the fee for a bed is ₹ 50 per day and those who cannot afford it are allowed to stay free of cost.
