Today, on November 29, the last trading day of the week, the Sensex closed at 79,802 with a rise of 759 points (0.96%). There was a rise of 216 points (0.91%) in Nifty, it closed at the level of 24,131. At the same time, BSE Smallcap rose 417 points (0.76%) and closed at 55,199.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 26 rose and 4 declined. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 43 were up and 7 were down. In the NSE sectoral indices, all except realty and PSU banking sectors closed with gains.
Foreign investors sold shares worth ₹11,756.25 crore
- Bharti Airtel, Reliance, ICICI Bank and Larsen & Toubro led the market. Whereas, Power Grid, SBI and Nestle India dragged down the Sensex.
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei fell by 0.37% and Korea’s Kospi fell by 1.95%. China’s Shanghai Composite Index closed with a gain of 0.93%.
- According to NSE data, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth ₹11,756.25 crore on November 28. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth ₹ 8,718.30 crore.
- On November 27, the US Dow Jones fell 0.31% to 44,722 and the S&P 500 fell 0.38% to 5,998. Nasdaq also fell 0.60% to 19,060.

There was a decline in the market yesterday Earlier yesterday i.e. on 28th November, Sensex had closed at the level of 79,043 with a fall of 1190 points (1.48%). Nifty also declined by 360 points (1.49%), it closed at the level of 23,914.
At the same time, BSE Smallcap rose 221 points (0.41%) and closed at 54,782. Of the 30 Sensex stocks, 29 were down and only 1 was up. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 46 were in decline and 4 were up. The IT sector of NSE closed with the maximum fall of 2.39%.
