Meghan Trainor opened up about her cosmetic procedures, admitting that she had “too much Botox” which left her unable to smile properly.
Meghan Trainor opened up about her cosmetic procedures and the regrets that followed. The 30-year-old singer said that she had gone overboard with Botox to the point where she could no longer smile properly. Talking about her first experience with Botox, Meghan Trainor admitted that compliments about how “rested” she looked encouraged her to go for it again. However, she quickly realised it wasn’t as great as she had thought.
“I got too much Botox and I need help. I messed up. I’ve had Botox, like, a handful of times … just my forehead,” Meghan confessed while on Workin’ On It podcast.
In addition to Botox, the Made You Look singer also tried a lip filler treatment which she now regrets. She explained that she was convinced to try a “lip flip” by someone who promised it would enhance her lips.
“And I could have one for the first time in my whole 30 years of living — it was not true,” she added.
One of the most noticeable effects of her procedures was the inability to smile. She explained, “I cannot smile anymore.” Meghan also attempted to smile during the podcast and jokingly said, “Look, this is as big as I can smile.”
During the podcast, Meghan’s brother and co-host, Ryan Trainor, shared a funny moment they experienced together. He recalled a trip to Home Goods when he couldn’t help but tell her, “Bro, you can’t smile.”
Ryan admitted that he just blurted out what he was thinking, saying, “My inside thoughts became my outside thoughts.”
“And now, I can’t unsee it. And everywhere I go I cannot smile. My face hurts to smile, to even try,” the Better When I’m Dancin’ artist said.
Meghan went on to share more about her struggles and even showed a photo on her phone of herself holding a dog during a recent visit to a shelter. Pointing at the image, she said, “I don’t look happy. I look like I smelled someone’s fart … somebody help me!”
On the podcast, the songwriter opened up about her plans to undergo breast augmentation. She shared that after having her two sons, Riley, 3, and Barry, 1, with her husband Daryl Sabara, she feels ready for the procedure. Explaining her decision, Meghan said her body has gone through many changes during motherhood.
“I’ve lost some weight and I have sags on, just like saggy sacks as boobs,” she added.
