Globally acclaimed Indian couturier, Gaurav Gupta’s couture gown made a statement at The Fashion Awards 2024 event presented by Pandora at Royal Albert Hall in London, England.
Gracing the red carpet in the opulent gown was Bridgerton’s Lady Whistledown AKA actor Nicola Coughlan. Exuding grace and elegance on the red carpet, Nicole’s ensemble featured Gaurav’s black core gown with a celestial shell in a pastel hue. The sculpted detailing beautifully wrapped around Nicole’s celebrated Gaurav’s signature design language.
Customized to suit Nicola’s style quotient, the placement was by Hema Bose of Maison, and Nicola’s styling was done by celebrity stylist Aimee Croysdill. The Bridgerton star has been riding high on the success of the drama series, and this gown makes her look straight out of a historical painting with a contemporary approach.
The silhouette, from the brand’s Aarohanam collection showcased at Paris Couture Week SS’24, has been celebrated by an array of Indian and international celebrities in recent times, including actor Aditi Rao Hydari at the Cannes Film Festival 2024 and actor Allison Janney at the Emmys 2024.
Making India proud, Gaurav’s craftsmanship has been celebrated on red carpets and international events by celebrities from across the globe.
Keeping her makeup minimal, Nicola accentuated her eyes with the iconic winged eyeliner. Her hair was tied in an updo enhanced with a bow. Adding a hint of sparkle to her red carpet style were the multiple diamond rings she accessorized her look with.
At the awards ceremony, Nicola Coughlan and Kelly Rutherford presented the British Womenswear Designer Award to Simone Rocha.
