On August 14, 2016, a complaint was lodged by Rakesh Singh son of Sarman Lal, resident of village Harrajpura, police station Bakewar. He told that when he was going to Nirankari Satsang with his mother, accused Yogendra came from behind and attacked his mother several times with a banka.
The woman was seriously injured in the attack and was in a dying condition. A case was registered against Yogendra under various sections in Bakewar police station. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, the police took immediate action and collected evidence.
During the hearing of the case, the police made an effective plea on the instructions of the Senior Superintendent of Police. Investigating Officer Jaiprakash Singh, Team Bakewar Police Station, Constable Rahul, and Monitoring Cell presented the witnesses and evidence in the court on time.
Due to this effective advocacy, the court convicted Yogendra Kumar. ADGC Devendra Kumar Singh said that this decision of the court is a strong message for law and order. In this case, the role of police and effective advocacy played an important role in getting the accused punished.
