Nazirabad police station on Friday registered an FIR against two people for harassing a liquor vend salesman on Eighty Feet Road in Kanpur by accusing them of theft and then in the suicide case. The son of the deceased alleges that the manager and salesman of the liquor shop stole Rs. 20,000.

Santosh Kumar Gupta (57), resident of Jawahar Nagar of Sisamau police station area, was a salesman for 4 years in a liquor vend located on Assi Fit Road. The family consists of wife Sheela Gupta, son Yash Gupta and daughters Pinky and Tannu. Wife Sheela had alleged that about a month ago, there was theft of Rs 20 thousand in the liquor shop. After the theft, salesman Naresh Shukla and manager Kamal Tiwari used to mentally torture them by falsely accusing them of theft. It is alleged that as soon as they reached the contract, they used to discuss various things alleging theft from morning till the time they went home. Due to which he was living under constant mental stress.
According to his wife, as usual, he left the house at 9.30 am on Wednesday and told his wife Sheela to see it for the last time and will not return now. On this she started explaining a lot to him. After this he left for the contract on a silent motorcycle. Alleged that as soon as they reached here, like every day, the taunts and misbehavior started early in the morning on the charge of theft. Due to this, he became mentally stressed and suddenly parked the bike at Coca-Cola crossing. After this, after reaching in front of Dakshineshwar temple, he jumped in front of the train.
A suicide note was recovered by the police from him. Which has been sent for forensic investigation. In this regard, police station in-charge Aman Singh said that on the complaint of son Yash, a report has been registered against salesman Naresh Shukla and manager Kamal Tivir for abetment to suicide. Soon action will be taken to arrest both of them and send them to jail.
