Tourists will get relief from jam in the new year, satellite parking and shuttle service will start in Dehradun

Dehradun: Mussoorie, the queen of hills, is famous all over the world for its beautiful valleys and it attracts tourists due to its charming location. This is the reason why tourists are coming here to visit amidst the rosy cold. People also go to Mussoorie for New Year celebrations. However, for the last several years it has been seen that instead of enjoying their journey, tourists get stuck in traffic jams. In such a situation, tourists face many problems, they do not understand the parking arrangements.

District administration is making preparations
To prevent this from happening and tourists leave Mussoorie with a good experience, the district administration is working for their facilities. Now, to relieve tourists from the problem of traffic jam, shuttle service is going to be started in Mussoorie. This shuttle service will make the journey of not only tourists but also local people easier. The district administration is taking important steps to resolve the jam.

Don’t take any bad experience from here
Giving information, District Magistrate of Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, Savin Bansal said that people come during the season to see the famous tourist places of Dehradun. In such a situation, due to overcrowding, tourists as well as local people are not able to avail the facility. Most of the time of tourists is wasted in traffic jams due to which they have to stand in queues of vehicles for hours.

They come to enjoy nature but leave here with bad experiences. In such a situation, no person would want to come to such a place again. Law and order situation is also becoming adverse. Keeping this in view, satellite parking will be used which will be very useful in future.

Through this, vehicles will be shown parking at a certain distance and an easy way to reach the destination. He said that Hathipaon and Kingcraig satellite parking will be completely prepared by December 15. Apart from this, all the necessary infrastructure like toilets, canteen, lighting, signage and ticketing barriers will be repaired so that tourists do not face any kind of inconvenience. For last mile connectivity, work is also being done to operate golf carts on Mall Road. Arrangements for 800-900 parking spaces have been ensured on the 6-7 km road in Kingkreg and Hathipaon bands.

Shuttle service will also start soon in Mussoorie
District Magistrate Savin Bansal said that instructions have been given to speed up the work for operating the shuttle service. For this, Kingreg Taxi Association has been selected on Thursday. Shuttle service trains from Kingreg Parking to Library Chowk (Rs 250-350), Kingreg Parking to Picture Palace (Rs 250-350), Hathipaon to Library Chowk (Rs 300- 450) and Hathipaon Band to Picture Palace (Rs 300- 450). Will walk till the road.
