From here, tea is also being sent to countries like America, Germany, England, France, Switzerland etc. Its price ranges from Rs 300 to Rs 1200 per kg.
Dr. Bhupen Deka said that due to the quality of the tea of Uttarakhand, today it is in highest demand in Uttarakhand as well as in the country and abroad. Black Orthodox and green tea are produced here. Black Orthodox tea is in high demand in foreign countries, due to which the tea here is very much liked. People of America as well as European countries like this tea the most. Whenever he comes to any other district of Uttarakhand or Almora, he definitely takes tea from here.
