Two Wheeler Sales: After the end of the festive season in November 2024, India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers such as Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Suzuki and Royal Enfield experienced fluctuations in both domestic sales and exports. The peak sales time in the two-wheeler industry usually occurs during the festive season i.e. the months of September and October. After this, a decline in sales is recorded at the end of the year.
However, as always, in November too, Hero MotoCorp remained at the forefront in terms of two-wheeler sales. The company left behind many companies like Honda, Bajaj and TVS by selling more than 4 lakh vehicles in November 2024. Let us know how were the sales of two-wheelers last month.
Hero remains number-1 despite decline in sales
Hero MotoCorp retained the top position with sales of 4,39,777 units in November 2024. However, the company’s sales have declined by 7.67% compared to last year in November 2023, when 4,76,286 units were sold. The monthly decline was more as compared to October 2024, which was 33.07%. During this time, the company launched new V2 range of electric scooters in its portfolio, which is expected to improve sales in the coming time.
Slight increase in Honda sales
Honda sold 4,32,888 units in the domestic market last month. This represents an annual growth of 2.90% as compared to 4,20,677 units sold in November 2023. However, the company’s sales declined by 21.74% on a monthly basis as compared to October 2024.
TVS sales improve
TVS Motor sold 3,05,203 units in November 2024, which is 6.34% more than 2,87,017 units in November last year. However, there was a decline in monthly sales, which were 21.84% less than in October 2024.
Bajaj Auto sales decline
Bajaj Auto sold 2,03,611 units in November 2024. The company’s popularity depended on models like Pulsar, Platina and Freedom CNG, which have now become more attractive to buyers due to price cuts.
Decline in monthly sales of Suzuki motorcycles
Suzuki recorded sales of 78,333 units in November 2024, which is 7.11% higher than the same month last year. However, the company’s sales declined by 25.35% on a monthly basis.
Royal Enfield sales continue to decline
Royal Enfield sales dropped to 72,236 units in November 2024. This shows a decline of 3.86% compared to last year and 29.10% compared to October 2024.
In November 2024, major two-wheeler manufacturers collectively sold 15,32,048 units. This figure is 1.23% less than the 15,50,849 units sold last year in November 2023. At the same time, a huge monthly decline of 25.75% was recorded as compared to 20,63,387 units in October 2024.
