Hurt by her father’s scolding, a teenage girl committed suicide by hanging herself in the PGI police station area of Lucknow. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, filled the Panchayat Nama and sent the body for post-mortem.

Inspector PGI Ravi Shankar Tripathi told that Raju Valmiki, resident of village Patwan, police station Baberu, district Banda, lives with his family in Eldico Ashray Colony near Golu intersection on rent. Raju does cleaning work.
Last Sunday night, the father scolded the girl for some issue, who in anger committed suicide by hanging herself with a dupatta on an iron rod inside the bathroom at around 11 pm.
After getting information from the family, the police reached the spot and took the girl to Trauma Center 2, where the doctors declared her dead. The body has been taken into custody and sent for post-mortem.
