According to the information, Anjali Yadav, a resident of Mohalla Biratiya of Karhal police station area, had come to meet her husband Saurabh lodged in Mainpuri district jail on Monday. Saurabh is currently a resident of Ishakpur police station Nagla Khangar Firozabad. Was living in Ghiror intersection, town Karhal.
While checking the woman before entering the jail, the jail police recovered 32 bore cartridges from her purse. After the incident, the jail administration and police immediately came into action. During interrogation, Anjali told that there is a licensed weapon at her house. Some child in the house might have playfully put the cartridge in his purse. She took it to jail without paying any attention.
Woman sent to judicial custody
Jailer Pawan Kumar Dwivedi handed over the woman to the Kotwali police. A case was registered against the woman by giving a complaint through Gmail. The police registered a case under Sections 3 and 25 of the Arms Act 1959 and sent the woman to judicial custody. The jail administration has become completely alert. Jailer Pawan Kumar said that the matter is being investigated. Security arrangements will be further tightened.
