Dehradun: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Board Exam Time Table 2025 on 20 November 2024. After the announcement of board exam dates, an atmosphere of tension has arisen among the students, but there is no need to worry. Local 18 spoke to renowned teacher Geeta Arora (popularly known as Pooja Madam), who runs ‘Success Point Tuition Classes’ based in Panditwadi, Dehradun, about the tips to perform brilliantly in the Class 10 Maths exam to be held on March 10, 2025. We have collected special tips for this.
These tips will get you high score in maths
Geeta Arora says that this time can be challenging for children, but with proper planning and confidence, children can not only overcome stress. In fact, you can also get high scores. There is no need to be afraid especially in a subject like mathematics. With NCERT book and accurate revision, excellent preparation can be done in just two months. To score high in 10th class Mathematics subject, teacher Geeta Arora has given many suggestions to the students for basic and standard maths.
isolate difficult topics
Generally many children have problems with particular chapters. In such a situation, first understand in which chapter you are facing problem. Note those topics separately and revise again and again.
NCERT book will be helpful
To prepare for basic mathematics, first complete the NCERT book. Try to solve examples and remember the formulas well. Focus more on scoring topics like Statistics (Mean, Median, Mode), Probability and Trigonometry. Make a habit of solving questions related to statistics and trigonometry through NCERT.
Focus on surface area and volume
Many times children have difficulties in understanding these subjects. I have only one advice for children: remember the formulas related to these and practice applying them correctly. Due to which you will not face any problem during the exam.
Standard Maths Strategy
Solve previous year question papers for Standard Maths. This will not only help in understanding the exam pattern. Rather, time management will also improve. Keep track of time during the exam. The main objective of solving old question papers is to complete the paper within time. Make full use of the 15 minutes you get to read the question paper. Solve easy questions first and don’t waste time.
Be careful in calculations
Often we see that most of the children get trapped in calculations and make mistakes. Understand such questions. Identify the sections that take more time and make a strategy to solve them faster, which will help you in the exam.
Parents play an important role
Geeta Arora has also made this special appeal to the parents of the children. He said that this is a time of mental pressure for children. In such a situation, parents should also keep an eye on their children so that they do not become victims of depression or stress. Children can perform better by creating a positive environment and encouraging them.
It is noteworthy that NCERT, revision and practice are most important for the preparation of CBSE Board Exam 2025. With the right strategy and confidence, students can score high even in difficult subjects like mathematics. In such a situation, follow these tips and give your best in the examination.
