Television actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya rang in her 40th birthday today. The actress, synonymous with grace, talent, and dedication, has etched her mark on the Indian television industry. Hailing from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Divyanka did her schooling at Carmel Convent School and later graduated from Bhopal’s Sarojini Naidu Government Girls PG College.
The 38-year-old was inclined to showbiz since childhood and participated in telefilms and drama in her hometown.
Before entering into the entertainment industry, Divyanka was an anchor at All India Radio in Bhopal.
In 2003, she won the title of Miss Bhopal and also emerged as the winner of the reality show India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj in 2004.
The television star’s big break into the TV industry came with a telefilm on Doordarshan, and she later presented a program called Akash Vani.

Starring Divyanka Tripathi, Sharad Malhotra, and Kamya Punjabi, Banoo Mein Teri Dulhann premiered from 2006-2009 on Zee TV. This is Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya’s first television show where she played a double role of lead characters Vidya and Divya.
The plot of the series centred around the life of a woman from a small city, Vidya, who reaches Delhi after marrying Sagar, a rich businessman.
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein
Helmed by Ranjan Kumar Singh, Abhishek Kumar R Pal and Neeraj Baliyan, the romantic drama TV series featured Divyanka Tripathi (Dr. Ishita) and Karan Patel (Raman Kumar Bhalla) as the main leads. The story, which ran from 2013 to 2019, centred around divorce, infertility, remarriage, and societal issues.
Other than Divyanka and Karan, the show also entailed Anita Hassanandani Reddy, Vivek Dahiya, Aly Goni, Abhishek Verma, Abhishek Malik, Aditi Bhatia, Krishna Mukherjee, and more. This daily soap became the turning point of Divyanka’s career.

Another popular daily soap that Divyanka starred in was Mrs. & Mr Sharma Allahabadwale. This drama show aired on SAB TV from 2010-2011. The show revolved around the life of a small-town family with the struggle of a middle-class family.
In the show co-starring Paritosh Kumar and Rajesh Kumar, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya played the lead character of Rashmi Drishthdumn Sharma.

Divyanka is currently seen in the comedy-drama-family series ‘The Magic of Shiri,’ streaming on Jio Cinema. Co-starring senior actor Jaaved Jaaferi, the series stars Divyanka as Shiri Shroff, a homemaker who turns a stage magician after her family business shuts down.
Adrishyam — The Invisible Heroes
Created by Anshuman Sinha, this espionage thriller featured Divyanka Tripathi, Eijaz Khan, and Swaroopa Ghosh in lead roles. Divyanka and Eijaz played the roles of Parvati Sehgal and Ravi, undercover intelligence officers. This web series follows the life of Ravi and Parvati, who track and neutralise terror risks to protect the country while posing as regular employees of the meteorological department.
Coldd Lassi And Chicken Masala
Divyanka stepped into the OTT world with this web series in 2019. She shared the screen space with actor Rajeev Khandelwal in this romantic series. The series revolves around ex-lovers Nitya (Divyanka), Indie Spice’s head chef, and Vikram (Rajeev), a Michelin Star chef. It shows how fate brings them together after 8 years, and memories of the lost love return along with the bitterness of the past, leading to a sweet and spicy love story.
From her breakthrough role as Vidya in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann to the iconic Dr Ishita Bhalla in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Divyanka has consistently delivered stellar performances, earning immense love from the masses.
Other than her professional accomplishments, not many are aware that Divyanka wanted to join the Indian armed forces. She did a course on mountaineering at the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi.
The actress also boasts a gold medal for receiving training in rifle shooting from the Bhopa Rifle Academy.
