The deadline for updating Aadhaar free has been extended by 6 months.
Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has again extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar for free by 6 months. Now you will be able to update your Aadhaar for free till June 14, 2025 and you will not have to pay any charge for it. After this, charges will have to be paid for updating Aadhaar. Earlier this deadline was 14 December 2024.
UIDAI posted on X on Saturday that, to benefit lakhs of Aadhaar number holders, the service of free online document uploading has been extended till June 14, 2025. This free service is only myAadhaar Available on the portal.
Deadline extended for the fourth time UIDAI has extended the deadline for updating Aadhaar for free for the fourth time. Earlier it was extended for three months each, whereas this time the deadline has been extended for 6 months. Earlier this deadline was 14 June 2024, which was extended to 14 September 2024 and then to 14 December 2024.
UIDAI says that this initiative to update Aadhaar for free is especially for those people who got Aadhaar card 10 years ago and have not updated it even once.

- After this you will have to click on both the check boxes given below and click on Nest.
- Now the payment option will appear in front of you. Here you can make payment through UPI, Net Banking or Card as per your wish.
- You will get a receipt once the payment is completed. After this your Aadhaar will be updated in about 30 days.
