New Delhi. Meta-owned personal messaging app WhatsApp has rolled out four new features for its users. The purpose of these features is to improve the video and audio calling experience for users. This update has been released not only for mobile users but also for desktop users. WhatsApp has given information about these new features through a blog post.

1. Secret surprise feature in group call
WhatsApp has introduced a special feature for group calling. Now users can secretly add selected people to give a secret surprise in a group call. In this way, you can surprise someone on a special occasion by connecting them on WhatsApp call. This feature will be useful when you are planning a surprise party or gift for someone.
2. Night mode and new effects in video calling
WhatsApp has added night mode and many new effects for video calling, which will make the calling experience better. With the help of Night Mode, users will be able to experience better video quality even in low light. Effects like puppy ears, microphone, and underwater have also been added to video calling. Higher resolution video quality facility is being provided in 1:1 and group calling, which will provide excellent picture quality during video calls.
3. Improvements in desktop calling features
Some new changes have been made to make the WhatsApp calling experience easier for desktop users also. Now desktop users can make calls by dialing the number directly. Calling can be started by clicking on the call tab of the app. Along with this, the facility to create call link will also be available.
4. Improvement in typing indicator
To further improve the chatting experience, WhatsApp has added a new typing indicator feature. This feature will make real-time chatting more comfortable. Now users will be able to see who is typing in the chat. In group chats, the profile picture of the users typing the message will also be visible, making it easier to reply to the correct message. The existing typing visuals will be replaced with this new feature.
