15,547 crore transactions were done through Unified Payment Interface i.e. UPI from January to November-2024. During this period an amount of Rs 223 lakh crore was transferred. Today (December 14), the Finance Ministry shared a post on X and informed that this is a new record for transactions through UPI.

5. Gold became expensive this week, silver declined: Gold increased by Rs 735 to reach Rs 76,922, silver was being sold at Rs 88,976 per kg.
There has been an increase in gold prices this week. According to the website of India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), on last Saturday i.e. 7th December, gold was at Rs 76,187, which has now reached Rs 76,922 per 10 grams (14th December). That means its price has increased by Rs 735 this week.
