Tree thief arrested by police.
Saharanpur Police arrested two thieves who were cutting and selling government trees. While 5 associates are absconding. Police is searching for them. The accused used to cut government and private trees and sell them. Due to which the people of the surrounding villages were worried. The matter is of police station Gagalheri area.

Gagalhedi Police Station Inspector Suresh Kumar said that on December 10, Vikas Kumar, son of Rajkumar, resident of village Chaura Khurd, had come to the police station and given a written complaint. Unknown thieves have cut and stolen government trees from the pasture. The police registered a case on the basis of the complaint. The police started searching for the thieves.
According to the police, CCCT footage was also scrutinized to search for the thieves. Police have arrested two thieves Nawab alias Shahzad and Ehkam. During interrogation, the accused told that they along with three or five of their associates used to steal trees by cutting them standing in the forest. These incidents have happened at many places. 10 days ago, trees were cut from village Chouradev pasture and a month ago, trees were cut from the graveyard of village Salempur Gada. Which have been sold and distributed among themselves and all the money has been spent.
