Once again a case of reduction in food grain distribution has come to light in Balrampur. The villagers have written a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the District Magistrate, accusing the Kotedar of Kelly of Ghatoli and demanding action.

Villagers eligible for food grains allege that the Kotedar is acting arbitrarily. They are being given less ration. Goods like sugar etc. come for distribution. It is not being distributed at all. There is a lot of anger among the villagers regarding this.
Complain and demand appropriate action
The matter pertains to Panchayat Kaili of Haraiya Satgharwa development block of Balrampur. Where Antyodaya card holders have complained to the Chief Minister and District Magistrate Balrampur, accusing the Kotedar of short-change and demanding appropriate action.
Local people say that be it Antodaya card holders or BPL, all types of card holders are being given 2 to 3 kg less ration on each card. The card holders say that when we complain about this to the Kotedar, the Kotedar says that if you want to take ration, then you will get only this much.
On this matter, card holders like Shahjahan, Kasturba, Safikunnisha, Aabrunnisa, Afsana, Abdul Karim, Noorjahan, Salim, Abdul Rahim Alkharam Niwar Anwar Ali Rehan Ali etc. blamed the Kotdar and said that when we people complain. Why are you not giving sugar and other items? Why is our ration 2 kg less, then Kotedar says that if you want to take it then go otherwise you will get only this much.
The local people allege that the sugar or other goods which are brought by the Kotedar for distribution. They don’t even give that and digest it.
