The name of this school is Mangaldeep Vidya Mandir. Presently 33 students are studying here. In school, work is done on making children creative. Different items are prepared by disabled students during festivals. For Diwali (Diwali 2024), children have prepared lamps with candles, chocolates and apan. Along with the students, teachers also help in making these products. The items made by children can be purchased from Mangaldeep School. Apart from this, a stall is also set up by the students and teachers of the school in Sharda Public School, Almora.
Mangaldeep Vidya Mandir teacher Basanti Gaida told Local 18 that the school has been preparing different things for different festivals for about 18 years. This time for Diwali the children have made lamps with candles, chocolates and apan. Principal of Sharda Public School, Vineeta Shekhar helps disabled children a lot. School student Rajendra Bisht told Local 18 that together we have made candles, chocolates and apan lamps for Diwali. They make products related to it during festivals and everyone likes it very much.
Students and teachers are shopping
Sharda Public School teacher Vandana Vinayak told Local 18 that the stall has been set up by the students and teachers of Mangaldeep Vidya Mandir. The children of their school are seeing and understanding how the disabled children have prepared Diwali items with so much hard work. Students and teachers are buying candles, chocolates and lamps. The price of every item is different. Candles and lamps start at Rs 50 and chocolates start at Rs 100. Karthik Salal, a student of Sharda Public School, said that disabled children have set up a stall in his school. He feels good seeing all the things made by him. All items are handmade. He liked chocolate the most. He liked its taste very much. The quality of all the items made by the students is quite good.
