Many women came forward and accused veteran actors and directors of the industry of sexual exploitation. After this report, voices for women’s rights have started being raised from every industry. Popular TV actor Nakuul Mehta has also welcomed the Hema Committee report and supported it.

This should affect all of us. It should have an impact on every woman and every man in every industry.
He further writes, ‘It takes only a few minutes for us to raise our voice against the heinous crimes taking place in the society. Perhaps it may take some more time to know about the struggle of women. These conflicts may or may not affect us, but we should know about them.
The Hema Committee report exposed cases of sexual harassment in Kerala. After the report became public, many people have come forward to share the sexual harassment they faced while working in the Malayalam film industry. Some FIRs have been registered against Mollywood celebrities like actor Mukesh, actor Jayasuriya and director Ranjeet.
