On Govardhan Puja, police and administrative officials followed the culture and tradition by worshiping cows at the Kanha cow shelter located in Aliganj town of Etah. District Supply Officer KK Gupta, Deputy SP Sudhanshu Shekhar, Police Station Incharge Nishod Sengar, Town Incharge.

Cows were worshiped by applying tilak and feeding them jaggery and gram. The officials received blessings by applying Tilak to the calves and cows and served them by offering garlands. During this, Area Officer Sudhanshu Shekhar said – Our culture is festival oriented, and cow has been given the status of ‘Mother of the World’. Mother cow is revered by mankind and its protection and service is our duty.
Sudhanshu Shekhar said- Not just for one day, but one should keep doing cow service from time to time. So that virtue can be attained. On the occasion of Govardhan festival, everyone worshiped cow with enthusiasm and devotion and gave good wishes.
