Vivek Yadav of Lucknow has made a name for himself as a casting director in Bollywood. Till now, he has worked as casting director for many films including ‘Mulk’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, ‘Thappad’, ‘Article 15’. Vivek’s journey which started from Lucknow is now moving forward in Mumbai.

Currently Vivek Yadav is working for many web series. He also worked as casting director in Anubhav Sinha’s film ‘Abhi To Party Shuru Hui’, shot in Lucknow.
At present, he has worked in more than 15 small and big films and web series. He reached his home in Lucknow on Diwali holidays. Dainik Bhaskar The team spoke to Vivek.

The journey to Mumbai was not easy Vivek says that ‘the journey from Lucknow to Mumbai has not been easy, but it has been very interesting. Before Lucknow, I had worked in Mumbai only. Started theater there in the year 2006, used to do job along with theatre. All the time I used to think, what am I doing? This is not my job.
Worked in retail sector for 4 years Vivek worked in the retail sector for about 4 years. Then one day suddenly he talked to his father and reached Mumbai for 15 days. However, there was also risk at that time. It was not right to leave the accumulated work. Father also said what are you doing?
Vivek says, ‘My luck was good and I got the job on the 7th day instead of 15 days. After that I called my father and told him that I was not coming back. After this, I worked in a dozen projects shot in Lucknow, but the target was Mumbai, hence, leaving the accumulated work here, I am currently trying to establish my foothold in Mumbai.
After working in the retail sector for four years, Vivek is working with many people including Ashutosh Rana.
Ayushmann Khurrana and Raj Kumar Rao like Vivek, who has worked with many people including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Taapsee Pannu, Ashutosh Rana, Nana Patekar, enjoyed working the most with Ayushmann Khurrana and Raj Kumar Rao. He told that he had a lot of fun working with Kumud Mishra also.
Vivek says that he enjoyed working with Ayushmann Khurrana and Raj Kumar Rao the most.
Rajkumar Rao has amazing talent While sharing the story of ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’, Vivek says that ‘Raj Kumar Rao is an artist with amazing skills. He has two types of roles in the film. We saw that he is in a different character while going inside the vanity van and his character is different while coming out. This changeover is a big thing for an artist. Got to learn a lot from him too.
Talks going on about two films and a web series Regarding his upcoming project, Vivek says, ‘I have just returned from shooting a film in Uttarakhand. This film has been made for an international festival. Apart from this, talks are also going on for two films and a web series. In this, a film is going to be shot in Lucknow.
Vivek is currently working in the films of many artists including Nana Patekar.
Has left a mark in acting too Apart from casting, Vivek has also left a mark in acting. He has worked as an artist in ‘Aartkil-15’ and ‘Madam Chief Minister’. He says, ‘I started from theater only, so whenever I get a role, I consider it as an opportunity. Hopefully in the coming days, I will get a bigger and stronger role.
