Almora: 36 people lost their lives in a terrible accident in Almora, Uttarakhand. Out of which 8 people broke down during treatment in the hospital. Tents and tents have been set up near the spot for the Panchnama and identification of the deceased. It is being told that 27 injured people were brought to the hospital, out of which 8 people have died. Some injured have been brought to Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani. Preparations have been completed at Sushila Tiwari Hospital for the treatment of the injured. All specialist doctors have been called in emergency.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has given instructions to suspend ARTO enforcement in the respective areas of Pauri and Almora. CM to the families of the deceased 4-4 lakh rupees and to the injured 1-1 Instructions were given to provide assistance of Rs. lakh. The Chief Minister directed the Commissioner Kumaon Division to conduct a magisterial inquiry into the incident.
CM Yogi tweeted regarding the accident. CM Yogi tweeted, ‘The loss of life in an unfortunate road accident in Almora, Uttarakhand is extremely sad. My condolences are with the bereaved families of the deceased. It is a request to Lord Shri Ram to please grant salvation to the departed souls and speedy recovery to the injured.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said, ‘A bus fell into a deep ditch, due to which many people lost their lives. Many people have been injured, ambulances are being arranged to provide them immediate medical care. All officers have been instructed to reach the spot. A magisterial inquiry has been ordered into the incident. Orders have also been given to suspend people associated with this incident. If there is any negligence, strict action will be taken. Our priority is to provide medical care to the injured, hence instructions have been given to all the hospitals for this. The Chief Secretary is monitoring this. “The government stands with the injured as well as the bereaved families of the deceased.”
