Former DGP of Uttarakhand Ashok Kumar has also left a deep impression in his daughter’s life. We are talking about IPS officer Kuhu Garg. She is a badminton player and has won more than 17 medals in national and international sports events.
Kuhoo Garg, who secured 178th rank in UPSC CSE 2023, started playing badminton at the age of 9-10 (Kuhoo Garg IPS Rank). His parents were also very interested in sports and that is why both of them encouraged him to move forward in this field. After being successful in UPSC exam, Kuhu Garg has got a government job in IPS i.e. Indian Police Service. Kuhu, who has seen her father serving others since childhood, also has the passion to do something for the people.
Kuhoo Garg IPS Biography: Studied from Dehradun to Delhi
Kuhu Garg’s father Ashok Kumar was in a transferable job. Because of this, initially Kuhu also studied in different cities. Kuhu Garg had his primary education from St. Joseph’s School, Dehradun. Then studied from Sanskriti School, Delhi from 8th to 12th. In the year 2018, he obtained Economics Honors degree from SRCC, one of the top colleges of Delhi University. During this time he made some friends who are still with him.

Kuhoo Garg Badminton: Team India’s great player
Kuhu has played and won many badminton matches at national and international level. According to Kuhu’s father Ashok Kumar, Kuhu Garg is the first player who passed the UPSC exam while playing for Team India. In such a situation, this is a big achievement for Kuhu in the open category. Kuhu Garg’s coach was Dr. DK Sen. She also got a chance to learn from Saina Nehwal’s coach Gopichand. He won silver medal in National Championship 2019 and gold medal in South Asian Games 2019.
Kuhoo Garg UPSC: Took a break due to injury
IPS Kuhu Garg says that a turning point comes in a person’s life, due to which his life changes. Kuhu, who had been playing badminton since childhood, suddenly suffered an injury, after which she underwent surgery. He had to remain on bed rest for a year. During this time, Kuhu Garg had prepared for UPSC exam. Her school friend Narayani Bhatia helped her a lot during this period. Narayani Bhatia had secured 45th rank in UPSC-2023. She is an IAS officer of UP cadre.
