To maintain peace and order in Uttarkashi district, a flag march was conducted in the police town. Adequate number of policemen were deployed at sensitive places. District Magistrate Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht and SP Amit Srivastava visited various areas of the city and took stock of the situation. Issued necessary instructions to maintain peace. The DM reviewed the situation by holding a meeting with the SP and other officials at the Collectorate and Police Station. Police have registered a case against eight named and 200 unidentified people over the uproar in Uttarkashi.
