Veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan is busy hosting the 16th season of the quiz-based reality TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Like every season, this edition is keeping the viewers glued to their screens with the right dose of emotions and laughter. Recently, Arjun Agarwal from Chhattisgarh has captured the nation’s heart with his exceptional intellect and calm demeanour in a special edition for young minds aged 8 to 15 on the popular game show. The young genius, a sixth-grader, not only showcased his vast knowledge but also impressed the audience and host Amitabh Bachchan with his poise and confidence.
The heartwarming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 16 kicked off with Big B introducing KBC Junior, conducting a lively round of Fastest Finger First, and ultimately inviting Arjun to the hot seat. As the game continued, host Amitabh Bachchan posed a chess-related question worth Rs 3,000. It was this question that sparked a conversation about Arjun’s love for the game.
Sharing that he’s a district-level chess player and can play endlessly without a break, he expressed his dreams of becoming both a chess grandmaster and a doctor. This left the star impressed, and to Arjun’s surprise, Big B shared a video message from his chess idol and third-youngest chess Grandmaster D Gukesh.
In the message, Gukesh praised Arjun’s dedication, encouraging him to keep pursuing his dreams and hinting at a potential chess match someday. Arjun was extremely elated upon receiving the message, and he exclaimed, “Sir main aap ka bohot bada fan hoon.”
Later, Big B asked the 12th question worth Rs 12,50,000. The question was, “What percentage of the solar system’s total mass does the sun occupy? A) 50% B) 75% C) Less than 50% D) More than 99%” Unsure about the answer, Arjun decided to take his lifeline, ‘Ask The Expert.’ Columnist Anuja Chauhan assisted the contestant and instructed him to select option D, which was the right answer.
Moving on, the 13th question worth Rs 25 lakhs was, “The Marie Biscuit is named after a royal from which country? A) Italy B) Russia C) Monaco D) France.”
Arjun was not accustomed to the answer, and he decided to quit the game. He successfully answered a series of challenging questions, taking home a substantial prize of Rs 12,50,000. While exiting the show, the munchkin shared that he would give all the money to his parents as well as make sure to buy a gift for his sister Naina, whatever she wishes for.
