Sombir Poonia, resident of Nidani village of Jind Sadar police station area in Haryana, is a soldier in the army. Sombir is posted in the armed unit in Meerut. He lives with his family in Rajesh Enclave Army Colony, Fazalpur, Kankarkheda. The family consisted of wife Ritu, 6 month old daughter Bhavi and 3 year old Vartika. On Tuesday, Sombir reached Kankarkheda police station and told the police that on October 30, his daughter Vartika was playing outside the house. Naresh, a resident of Himachal Pradesh, a Lance Naik in the army and living above the quarter, took his daughter for a ride in the car. Naresh reached Rohta Road with the girl and left her in the car and went to party with friends. On the other hand, when the girl did not go home even after several hours, the family members inquired around. It was revealed that Naresh had taken the girl away. When Naresh was called and asked, he told that the girl was in the car and he had come on duty. By then the girl had spent several hours in the closed car. When the car was opened, the girl was found lying breathless. The girl was taken to the hospital where doctors declared her dead.
The father reached Kankarkheda police station on Tuesday and lodged a report.

The wife called and informed about her daughter not coming home. Sombir said that Naresh’s carelessness has ruined his family and he should be punished for this.
Birthday was on 19th November Sombir told the police that daughter Vritika’s birthday was on 19 November. She was about to turn 3 years old. There were complete preparations for the birthday. We had planned a party but everything was ruined. The mother is inconsolable after the death of her daughter. Family and relatives are sad. The mother is shedding tears every day remembering her daughter.
Information about the report given to army officers In the whole matter, Kankarkheda Inspector Jitendra Singh says that on the complaint of his family, a report has been registered against Lance Naik Naresh in a case of culpable homicide. Lance Naik Naresh locked the girl in the car and went out to party with friends. Army officials have been informed about the filing of the report and legal action is being taken.
