New Delhi. Royal Enfield is launching motorcycles one after the other in the Indian market. After the launch of Meteor 650, Shotgun and Himalayan 450, the company is now preparing to launch another bike. Currently the company is preparing to launch many new motorcycles. The most popular models among these are Classic 650 and Interceptor Bear 650. Now, pictures of the Interceptor Bear 650 have been leaked online without any camouflage. It is expected that this motorcycle will debut at EICMA this year.
Royal Enfield has already filed the design patent and nameplate patent for the Interceptor Bear 650 in India. Now there is a possibility that this motorcycle can be launched at the Motoverse event later this year.
How is Royal Enfield’s new bike?
The chassis of the new Interceptor Bear 650 is largely taken from the Interceptor 650, but some changes will be seen in it. The motorcycle will have new springs at the rear, which provide better travel. Upside-Down Forks have been used at the front. There is a possibility that Royal Enfield may partner with Showa for precise tuning of the suspension system. Since it is a scrambler motorcycle, it will also come with spoke wheels and dual-purpose tyres.
You will get a simple look with modern technology
The headlamp in the new Interceptor Bear 650 has been taken from other 650 cc models. However, it does not provide that good light at night. The turn indicators will also be LED, whose design is similar to that of the Himalayan 450. Bear 650 has a round LED tail lamp, whereas in Himalayan 450 the tail lamp is integrated into the turn indicators. The bodywork of this motorcycle is quite simple and a new side panel has been included in it.
The bike will be equipped with a powerful engine
In Interceptor Bear 650, the company will use the 650cc engine of its existing bikes. This engine comes with air-oil cooled parallel twin engine technology. This engine generates maximum power of about 47 bhp and torque of 52 Nm. Smooth-shifting 6-speed transmission is paired with this engine. There is a possibility that Royal Enfield may use a different sprocket size for the Bear 650. Apart from this, a new single-sided exhaust system can also be provided, which will be lighter than the dual exhaust. Currently, the weight of the dual exhausts is around 10 kg.
When will it be launched?
Exact price and launch details for the Interceptor Bear 650 have not been revealed yet, but the motorcycle is likely to be unveiled at the upcoming EICMA or Motoverse event. Based on its design, features and engine, this bike can take an important place in the current lineup of Royal Enfield.
