New Delhi: Royal Enfield has reported a year-on-year sales growth of 6.82% in September 2024. The company sold a total of 79,326 units this month, which was 74,261 units in the same month last year. Royal Enfield Classic 350 played the most important role in this growth, accounting for more than 43% of the total sales. The company’s top-4 bikes are in the 350cc segment, which contribute 90% to the total sales. Let us know the detailed information about the performance of each model.

The Classic 350 remained the bestseller for the company with sales of 33,065 units in September 2024. In the same month last year, 26,003 units were sold, which is an increase of 27.16% this year. It accounts for 41.68% of Royal Enfield’s total sales.

How were the sales of other bikes?
Hunter 350 has also continued to perform well. Its 17,406 units were sold in September 2024, which is an increase of 18.04% compared to last year’s 14,746 units. It accounts for 21.94% of the company’s total sales.

There has been a decline in the sales of Bullet 350 this year. Its 12,901 units were sold in September 2024, whereas 18,316 units were sold in the same month last year, which shows a decline of 29.56%. The company has 16.26% share in its sales.

Meteor 350 posted a steady performance with sales of 8,665 units. In September last year, it had sold 8,659 units, registering a marginal growth of 0.07%. This model accounts for 10.92% of total sales.

The 650cc models performed brilliantly. In September 2024, 2,869 units were sold, which shows a tremendous increase of 124.14% from last year’s 1,280 units. The 650 twins account for 3.62% of total sales.

There was a decline in the sales of Himalayan this year. Only 1,814 units were sold in September 2024, whereas 3,218 units were sold in the same month last year, which shows a decline of 43.63%. Himalayan’s market share is now 2.29%. The main reason for this decline is believed to be the company’s new Guerrilla 450 motorcycle, which sold 1,657 units in September 2024 and accounts for 2.09% of the total sales.

The Super Meteor struggled this year, with only 685 units sold. In the same month last year, it had sold 2,039 units, which was a decline of 66.41%. Shotgun sold 264 units in September 2024, which accounts for 0.33% of total sales.

Royal Enfield will enter the electric vehicle segment in October 2024, as the company is going to unveil its new electric motorcycle.
