Earlier, the rebar scam was also exposed in Dhaurahara development block. A scam of about Rs 15 lakh was revealed in the fake works of hand pump rebar in 16 gram panchayats here. CDO Abhishek Kumar took cognizance of this matter and formed a committee to investigate. Investigation revealed that this scam had taken place in 13 gram panchayats, after which the concerned contractors and firms were blacklisted and an FIR was also registered.
Although, in this case, the status of recovery from the head and secretary has not been clear yet, but these incidents have further strengthened the courage of the scammers. The action had not been completed in Dhaurahra that now a new scam has started being heard in Isanagar block.
Investigation of 21 gram panchayats in Isanagar block Now the District Magistrate has constituted a committee to investigate the case of hand pump rebar in 21 gram panchayats of Isanagar block. More than five lakh rupees have been spent for rebar works in these panchayats. Panchayati Raj Officer Vishal Singh said on this whole matter that if any irregularities are found in the investigation, then strict action will be taken against the culprits.
